We never suggest using sick leave. It's legally distinct from vacation in many states and misusing it can cost you your job. Every day off here comes from weekends, holidays your employer gives you, floating holidays, or PTO you request properly.

We don't assume a federal holiday is a day you get off — you tell us which ones your company observes, and you can add your own.
